This payment is for a five-session performance lab with Val Ramirez, held weekly on Saturdays from 1-3pm beginning March 28th at Mercury Store in Brooklyn (131 8th St, Brooklyn, NY 11215).
This performance lab, consisting of five two-hour sessions, provides sustained time and structure for developing new work in Neo-Futurism. Across five weeks, you will create new material, collaborate on ensemble-driven pieces, and explore how technical elements can support you piece. The focus is on practice: drafting, staging, getting feedback, and refining through repetition. The final session is a sharing of what has been built in the room, inviting an audience to experience your work.
