Puppetry in Personal Storytelling Workshop:

Ever thought to yourself: Hey, I think it’d be cooler if a puppet were here? 1. You are not alone and 2. Come play! Be part of the group of incredible artists who will be exploring the relationship between puppeteer and performer in this introductory level class using the Neo-Futurist aesthetic.

Students will dive into what it really means to animate the inanimate, how puppet presence can enhance performance, and receive hands-on experience in building their own puppet. Facilitated by MJ Farrell, puppet builder/ performer/ lover and former Assistant Props Production Supervisor on Broadways’ Company and Beetlejuice, students will be astounded at what’s been hiding in their brains this whole time. Let’s dig up some gold!
