Katrina Goldsaito

(Katrina Toshiko)
So much of what happened in the nearly 2 decades since being a founding member of the NY NeoFuturists is lost to history. But a few highlights: Katrina made an audience interactive Augmented Reality transmission from the future (ReachYou, Tribeca Festival, Museum of Fine Arts Boston), tea ceremonies (Luggage Store, SF), and is now working on a Feminist Utopia performance project.

Her children's book The Sound of Silence has been translated into Chinese, Vietnamese, Mongolian, French, and Czech, and was read by the heartstopper Simu Liu (Marvel's Shang-Chi! see YouTube, Storyline Online). She has another children's book forthcoming where she also wrestles with a little-known Japanese aesthetic concept. For kids.

Katrina makes regular pilgrimage to difficult moments of profound loss and grief, and works with people to find a container for grief in their own writing. She also teaches Creativity as Sanctuary, and You Belong to The Future.

With her two small humans, their grandparents and her love, Katrina's intergenerational caravan lived for a few years as nomads in Morocco, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, New Zealand (in vans!), and Colombia. Katrina continues to make artwork with her family agency the You Have Agency, and holds a weekly Super Low Key Come As You Are, Fam potluck in Western Massachusetts.
