About The Neo Show

What happened to that other show with the really long name?

Well, a lot of things are cooking in the world of Neo-Futurism.  Near the end of 2016 This happened.

Ok, so what is The Neo Show?

The Neo Show is the NYNF’s new late night show. Over the next 3 months, we will be presenting an experimentation process for devising a new delivery mechanism for short original Neo-Futurist plays live on stage. There will also be totally new never before tested ideas that we will explore with the audience. We will continue our mission to create immediate, reactive, political, deeply personal, funny, weird and thought-provoking performance art on an ever changing basis. We are sharing and collaborating in this adventure with our sister companies in Chicago and San Francisco as well as you, our faithful audience. We look forward to crashing and burning with you and from those ashes we will rise with a new, fun and kick ass show that belongs to all of us.

What if I never saw the old show?

That’s OK. Neo-Futurist shows are fast-paced, fun, innovative, and affordable.

We are a collective of writer/director/performers. Weekly we are creating new and intriguing work, speaking directly from our personal experiences. We write short plays for you. The single unifying element of these plays is that they are performed from a perspective of absolute honesty. Each week, these plays shift as ensemble members add new plays to the existing body of work. To date, just in New York, we have written over 4000 plays. Each night of performance, we aim to create an unreproducible living newspaper of the comic and tragic, the political and personal, the visceral and experimental.
