Michael John Improta

Michael John Improta’s Bio in the style of an early 2000’s Myspace survey. Please imagine the font is electric blue and shiny, and that there are GIFs of stars spinning in distracting places.

1. Burritos or tacos? Burritos are like a magic spell to fill your belly instantly, but tacos are little charms to make you happier.

2. What is your favorite song? “Black” by Pearl Jam was the first song I learned all the lyrics too. Eddie Vedder’s voice mystifies me.

3. How many alarms do you set to wake up in the morning? Between 5 and 8

4. If you could live in any city in the world which would it be? New Orleans is a magical place.

5. Favorite color? Existential dread

6. What are your thoughts on Waffle fries? They suck! The lattice of the fry makes it so that the fry can not cook evenly throughout. Some parts are burnt and some still a mushy potato. They are only good to make loaded fries, but at that point just give me nachos!

7. Favorite sound? When a guitar string squeaks into the right note.

8. Last time you cried? Flying above the clouds looking out of the airplane window at mountains approximating some sort of perspective shift.

9. Regrets? I’ve had a few

10. Favorite memory? Catching lizards at my grandmother’s house in the mountains of Puerto Rico with my cousins

11. Favorite book? The last book I read. Currently The Overstory by Richard Powers.

12. Favorite cocktail? It’s a tie between The Sazerac and The Jungle Bird

13. Parting words? There are a lot of empty spaces between us. Come closer. Listen to the sound of my longing as I listen to the music of yours. Let’s sing the song of we.
